Seamaster 25. The design was undertaken by Dick Sparrow, but evolved as the various models came out. The Cadet MKI version is recognised by its obvious single cabin window arrangement and engine box, restricting the cockpit. The hull is hard chined with a fairly full bow design. Engines in these craft varied from Wortham Blake/Ford petrols, Perkins to BMC 1.5 units. Seamaster 24 was built between 1961-1964 and Seamaster 25 was built between 1964-1967.

It has a shallow V design with a single chine and transom. The hull construction solid G.R.P. laminate with gelcoat. One piece G.R.P. laminate incorporating a wooden rubbing stake and rubber band is fitted all round. The cabin includes two V berths. A deep shelf surrounds the whole of the forward area giving ample stowage space, and is fitted with a cushioned edge forming a backrest for the settee berths. A galley unit fitted to starboard and includes a small stainless steel sink with cold water supply. A useful worktop is created by hinge up flaps over the hob and sink. The cockpit is fully enclosed by a canvas over a framework. Containing - steering station and sitting couches on port, stbd and aft.

The steering system is actuated mechanically. One 90 amp hour battery with isolating selector switches is fitted as standard. The power circuits are protected by fuses mounted in the engine bay and the instrument console. Standard electrical equipment includes nav. lights, anchor light, cockpit light, six interior lights and electric bilge pump with float switch.

The following items are included as standard in addition to the equipment already mentioned. 10kg SQR anchor. Fenders with ropes, set of mooring ropes. 100 litre fresh water tank and bilge pump.

Varka is moored at South Dock Marina (SDM) on a transferable residential mooring (exempt from mooring transfer fee), . Marina facilities include showers, WCā€™s, laundry. The mooring could accommodate boats up to 34 feet overall length subject to mooring providers agreement. The boat boasts a versatility of space and coupled with the marinaā€™s excellent location, it makes for a very agreeable, creative and refreshingly different live/work lifestyle.

SDM is five minutesā€™ walk from Surrey Quays with Overground and Canada Water Jubilee Line Underground and nearby river bus to Westminster via Tower Bridge and Waterloo.
